The Snake That Grew Legs

Today my dad brought a snake home. He found it and caught it in our compost pile. He brought it in the compost bucket.

We didn't know what kind of snake it was. So we asked our neighbors, "What kind of snake is this?"

"It's a very poisonous snake!" they said.

We decided to take some pictures of this snake. We noticed that its' eyes blinked. Then in the photo we saw that our snake had grown front legs! It wasn't a snake at all! It was a baby lizard! We were wrong to label this lizard a snake! I was brave and I touched it. Then we let it go back in our compost pile.

To My Blog Readers:
Have you ever been mislabeled? What does that feel like?
Have you ever caught a snake that grew legs?
